Hello, travel writers,

Stacey is currently in her happy place: on safari. This time she’s in Botswana with Timbuktu, and the last time I heard from her was this morning when she sent me a video of an elephant running straight at her. I’m not worried… when you spend enough time talking to Stacey, you get used to this sort of thing. (The photos she sends are totally worth it, though!)

I (Nina) am headed to Lanai with Four Seasons on Wednesday, and I’m looking forward to checking a new-to-me Hawaiian island off my list, enjoying some quality R&R with my husband, and shooting a video for a brand-new culinary-focused T+L tentpole coming this September (among other things).

More to come on both our trips, but first, keep your eyes peeled for a special bonus newsletter this week. Spoiler Alert: Be A Travel Writer is teaming up with Hotels Above Par for a one-time event in Los Angeles my fellow West Coasters won’t want to miss.

In the meantime, keep scrolling for this week’s calls for pitches and job openings. Don’t forget you can subscribe to our job board for WAY more jobs each week, including calls for pitches, full-time, part-time, and copywriting roles, updated daily, for just $4/month or $40/year.

Need more advice or want to brush up on some skills? Check out our classes and remember our students are always welcome to reach out with questions at [email protected].
