3 Six-figure Job Openings and More Places to Pitch Right Now

Hello, travel writers,

Without going into too much detail before it’s published, we’re currently working with a Be A Travel Writer student on a pitch surrounding a big pop-culture moment she found herself a part of while traveling through Thailand (hint, hint). We love when you take our advice and add your personal experience and unique POV to trending travel moments! (More on that in our How to Pitch Editors class).

So many really strong — and eventually published — ideas have come out of writer 1:1 sessions with Stacey. And that’s why we wanted to remind you that while every full-course student gets a personalized coaching session, we now also offer a month-long coaching program, which includes FOUR sessions with Stacey.

Meanwhile, publications including The Telegraph, Smithsonian Magazine, Matador, and more are looking for pitches. Keep reading for more, and sign up for our job board for the latest opportunities.

One Place We Love

Stacey is celebrating her birthday in the Maldives, where she’s been surfing, swimming with sea turtles, taking in health tips from a custom biomarker screening, and learning about seagrass regrowth and other sustainability initiatives at Six Senses Laamu. Happy birthday, Stacey! We can’t wait to read all about it.

One Story We Love

If you told me (Nina) a few years ago I’d be writing about skiing, I never would have believed you! But thanks to lots of encouragement from both Stacey and my husband Alex, the sport has opened my eyes to so many incredible destinations — and a totally different type of trip I never knew I’d grow to love, in spite of hating cold weather. I was honored to fill the final slot of the year in Stacey’s successful Mountain Mondays series for T+L with a piece on Big Sky, Montana, which might be my new favorite U.S. mountain. (BTW, the experts I interviewed said April is the best time to go, so you still have time to plan a visit.)

See you in class,

Stacey & Nina
