Here's Who's Looking for Pitches This Week — and a Few $100K+ Jobs

Hello, travel writers,

This week has been … a year … am I right? The news is fast and constant, and we feel the same anxiety I’m sure many of you do. It’s key as media pros to stay informed without getting burned out. I (Stacey) wrote this article a few months back for Glamour on “How to Read the News” that could help. The best advice in the piece came from our friend Laura Davis, USC professor and founder of StyleBot, who suggested you subscribe to newsletters to stay informed without getting overwhelmed.

“My advice and my personal technique is to find a go-to resource. I’m a big newsletter reader, and a lot of news organizations have newsletters. Some of them are next day, the beginning of the day. Some of them are at the end of the day. But you can usually find a source that will summarize the information for you in a succinct way, and you can wait until the end of the day or sometimes the next morning to get the facts,” Davis said. “It’s just a matter of taking a breath and not believing everything you see online.”

Have a favorite newsletter you love? Send it to us via email ([email protected]), and we’ll share it next week to help our whole community! Now … onto the jobs!
